FOREIGN VOLUNTEERS
(Croatia and Bosnia)
Since the fall of 1991, hundreds of foreign volunteers joined Croatia and later Bosnia in their fight against aggression.
Many of those volunteers were foreigners of Croatian background
coming from the USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina, South Africa, Austria and Germany. There were also quite a few “true
foreigners” coming predominantly from the UK, France and Hungary. Many of those people had served in
the Foreign Legion and had valuable combat experience that they were able to
share with the Croats and Bosnians.
